Douglas ReIf holds degrees in Photographic Illustration (B.F.A., Rochester Institute of Technology, 1988), English (B.A., Clemson University - minor, French, 1980), and Interior Architecture (B.A., College of Architecture, University of Florida, 1991). He has attended photography workshops by Ansel Adams and Ernst Haas and has travelled throughout the United States, Canada, and France.
For the past 15 years, Mr. Relf has been working as an interior architect in Washington, D.C. and has been producing architectural and interiors photography for his firm during this time. This work has been published in the Corporate Interiors Annual and is used for their portfolio.
Although his experience these past 15 years has been primarily as an interior architect, this experience is also invaluable in the field of photography in terms of planning, design, and execution. Software experience includes Photoshop CC and TOPAZ Labs.
This portfolio was produced with the Sinar F, Hasselblad and Mamiya systems, and Nikon digital and film cameras. Lighting equipment included Sinarbron and a variety of portable lighting systems.
